competition

by now i guess everyone knows about the return of the hawk, who knows everything about female psychology, and is oh-so-witty; and his world-cup of fembloggers (please see it here, if you haven;t). if you remember the hawk, he used to have this blog which is now dead, where he told us how terrible we were because we were smart and interesting, and not at all like how-women-should-be in hawkworld. back then he was funny in a pathetic kind of way. now he's just funny. i am so impressed by his new avatar, that i've reorganised my sidebar as a tribute to the competition. in fact, i want to thank him for introducing me to so many really great blogs.

aha, i think i see the man's devious ploy. he links to a whole bunch of us. then the word spreads, so we each go and take a look. while we are there, we visit all other blogs mentioned because of shared infamy, and then we like them so much that we keep visiting and that completely ruins our productivity at work. so this is like his long-term devious plan for removing women from the workplace and sending them where they belong, the hawkkitchen.

but whatever his motives are, i love the world cup format. so i propose we organise a similar competition, but this time among the men. so i present (ta-da):-

Team 1

Attention Whore - The Hawk
Spewer of Venom - Kill Them
Misogynist - Pesky but Honest

ok, so this is only 3 members till now, but i'm sure we can come up with more. i'm open to suggestions from people, and then we can make the rules of the competition. cool?

there was a guy with the handle "politically_incorrect_guy" and his sole aim for creating a blog was to troll around other blogs especially on political/feminist posts.

can I nominate his blog too?

    and I L.O.V.E this idea.

    Hello Team buddy.

I think its time we organize ourselves afterall if you have noticed Hawky baba is favouring other chicks.

So as our Team Captain, I call out an urgent meeting, our agenda "How to kick Hawky's flat butt?".

Suggesstions by others are welcome !!

umm hi. the last post didn't make much sense to me. but anyway, I got to your blog thru megha's (the one who just commented that is) and i have totally follwowed it up from the first date. which means i've read all your posts. and i seriously like the casual, easy way you write. it's like natural, unlike many people who give in a strained effort, and lose their flow. anyway, i love your blog, though i seriosuly don't like the pink template **grimaces**.

so you are a bengali?? ME TOOO!!!! And i can even speak it. which means your last post made a lot of sense to me!!!!!!!

i hate bengali food though. can't stand shukto, shorshey eelish posto and all that lumbago.

    but kewl!! fellow bong:D

    kemon achcho??

I left this comment on primalsoup's blog and I'm cross posting it here:

See, I'm more convinced than ever that this is a woman. Because there are plenty of pathetic insecure guys who would find our blogs threatening. But the Hawk does not find us threatening for that reason (or at least in this avatar). Also he's gone off his obsession about us trying to hook guys through our blogs since a few of us are in relationships/married etc. The more I think about the content of the Hawk's new blog (and I promise that I've thought little about it), I'm convinced that it is a woman. I'm going to on the whole ignore him this time. He's not very entertaining any longer and it's all quite tedious...

Our "Hawk"* seems to have the attention span of a 5 year old.

*Quotes used because we all know that's not the same Hawk as before. (Unless of course he got some unbelievable grammar/spell check software).

does this mean we actually have to READ those three blogs?? Isn't there a way to skip that but still play this game?

Came to your site after ages and ages. The best thing would be to ignore 'the hawk' - old or new (old and new)- just like ideasmith said.
